Task 1
Your friend has just won the jackpot in the lottery and asks you what you think he should do with his winnings. How would you respond?
参考答案：If my friend won the lottery, I would first tell him not to spend it all in one place. What I mean is that I would advise him to seriously think about how he wants to spend his money. He should obviously hire an accountant, because I hear it is very difficult to manage large amounts of money. He then should make a plan about how much money he wants to spend right now, how much money he needs to pay off debts or loans, and how much money he wants to save for the future. Personally I would advise him to seriously think about creating a trust fund and spend his money responsibly. In this way he can lean a comfortable life and be satisfied knowing that his family will be provided for in the future.
Task 2
People say that the clothes you wear should be fashionable and not last year’s style, what do you think?
参考答案：I once read in the newspaper about an interview of the women who helps Michelle Obama pick out her clothes. I remember she said that you can have style, even if you are not wearing the latest trend in clothing. The reason Michelle Obama always looks fabulous is that she wear clothes that reflect her own sense of style clothes that she is comfortable wearing, because they reflect her own personality. The more comfortable you are with how you look ,the more confident and fashionable you end up looking. I agree with this stylist. I once spend a lot of money on jeans that were the latest style, but that didn’t fit my personality. I walked around all day feeling very self-conscious. However, when I wear clothes that fit my own style, I get lots of compliments.

【内容讲解】讲做广告之前，要gather and analyze潜在消费者customer的喜好和需求，针对他们的personal喜好和需求设计广告。
【1个例子】教授举了一个卖牛奶的例子。有个milk company想推销它的牛奶，首先在超市做了大众问卷调查，问了很多问题比如where, how often, who, how much之类，确定house wife尤其是mother是primary客户。这些女性客户购买牛奶的时候，看重的是牛奶的营养，而不是口味，于是牛奶公司做的广告主要介绍他们的牛奶含有很多维生素等营养物质。此广告使销量很大改善。

【一个问题】春假，宿舍关门，男生家太远，不想回家，但没有地方住
【解决方案】(1)live with his friend Nick, Nick家离学校近，还可以和Nick的家人一起度假。但男生担心他可能have no time to do the paper。女生说男生可以假期结束后写，不过时间就不多了。男生自己说出方案(2)教授全家要去意大利度假，他可以去帮教授看房子live in professor's house and help to feed his pets, 这样男生可以专心focus on paper。但他怕一个人会很无聊，而且教授的house is out of town, 他又没车，很不方便。

【2个选择】主要原则：could observe star clearly。(1) avoid lighting pollution, 因此city is not an ideal place, 因为city is brightly lighted at night, 比如有很多car headlight;(2) avoid humidity, desert是个好选择，而且它有clear dark sky
