Some people think that schools should stop teaching students by using books, because students find them boring and that children can learn from films, TV, video games and computer instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
学生背景：英语基础一般，四级擦线过。语法相对薄弱，用词简单。
Today, science and technology have a significant development. Therefore, a group of people consider that traditional teaching method should be replaced by modern science products like films, TV, video games and computer. In my opinion, I cannot completely agree with this point of view.
Although electronic products can broaden students’ horizons and bring much knowledge to children, there will exist some drawbacks if they are used at school. Primarily, the majority of students have poor self-control and one of the illustrations is that they are more likely to be addicted to these electronic devices. For example, students prefer watching TV programs, playing video and computer games as learning approaches. As a result, they cannot concentrate in class and that is not good for their study. Subsequently, too much use of electronics in teaching will increase students’ burden of vision, which will lead to nearsighted. What worse is, nearsighted is an irreversible process as once it appears, it will affect students’life, from watching to job hunting.
On the other hand, in spite of books are heavier than science products and not convenient to carry, there are also some merits. Firstly, recording information in books and then spreading knowledge and culture is a traditional way. Furthermore, some of the information on the internet comes from books and some of it goes wrong when uploaded. If teachers use the book to teach directly, the wrong information on the net can be avoided. In addition, using books in class helps students take notes easily. They can use pens with different colours to mark their books and write notes in the margins. In a word, this is of great benefit to students’ studies.
In conclusion, it is not advisable to use electronic products for teaching instead of books totally. In my opinion, the two teaching methods should be used simultaneously and this can r take advantages of these methods
