P1
1. What will you do when you feel bored?
If I’m bored, it would typically because I'm either doing something very tedious and brainless, or I'm in a situation where I can’t do much. Either way, my solution to alleviating that boredom is usually listening to music. It's really the only thing I can do in those scenarios, and it works pretty well in getting me through that phase.
2. When you were young, what would you do if you felt bored?
Years ago when I was a kid, boredom was usually caused by being told to sit still and unable to do anything, so I'd often end up picking at random things. Bits of thread protruding from my clothes, or patches and the like. Sometimes I’d also daydream and imagine myself to be somewhere else entirely.
3. What kinds of things are boring to you?
Either being forced to sit through some process that I'm not interested in, or doing tedious work that involves a lot of repetition and isn’t intellectually stimulating. For the former, a good example would be back in school and listening to the principle drone on through the PA system.
4. Do you think young people are more likely to get bored?
I suppose really young kids and teenagers may have a shorter attention span, but that typically involves rapidly changing interests. Maybe it could manifest as being more likely to get bored, but I don’t remember that being the case when I was younger. But with greater access to instant gratification, who knows if that'll stay the same.

When I was still at school, we had the most talkative headmaster anyone can imagine. He could talk the hind legs off a donkey. He loved to ramble on when we had our school gatherings and his speeches would sometimes drag on for an hour or more. It was painful a times to sit and listen to him rant and rave.
I had a few brief encounters with this person over my years in high school. When I was sent to his office he made me feel uncomfortable and bored because he never stopped whining and moaning about life. He was a miserable old goat. I clearly remember his poker face and his stiff, unfriendly demeanor. He was kind of a salty, crusty educator who had been in schools too long.
The school head liked to waffle on, talk about the future goals and aspirations of students. His intentions were rock solid as he had the students’ best interests as his main motivation. We knew that he was trying to look out for us, but when you are a teenager you think all old people are dumb, so no one took him seriously.
Although I found most of the headmaster's speeches annoying and repetitive, I know that he was speaking from the heart. Years later I have discovered that his warnings were accurate and real. Life isn't a bed of roses and sometimes the old timers know best.
