Well actually I seldom watched TV program, because my parents don’t like it, so the TV is more like a decoration in my home. The only TV program I would like to watch is Japanese animation, especially the animation named Doramon. As a student majoring in animation design, I have to focus on the frontier information in this industry, for which you cannot blame my consumption of time in a seemingly casual and leisurely way. I have been watching this animation for more than 20 years since I was in nursery school. Doramon is a robot cat and a famous character in Japanese cartoons. During my childhood, I wanted to own this robot cat because he had a magical pocket that can provide everything you want. Therefore, everyday, as long as I came back from school, I would immediately rush into the living room and turn on the TV, just to enjoy this amazing animation at 6:30 p.m.

So I rarely pay attention to other aspects. When my friends talk about the politics and economic knowledge, I could do nothing except watching them foolishly. At that time, I always feel that we are not living in the same world. My friends play also jokes on me, saying I am from the outer space. When Doramon picked up a fascinating and high-tech product from his pocket, I would be amazed by the imagination, creativity and innovation of the animator. I think this cartoon can bestow me with a great bunch of specialized as well as general knowledge.

In general, how do TV and radio programs affect (or influence) people?
From my perspective, those TV and radio programs can insert both positive influences and negative influences on people from different age groups and social backgrounds. For example, for those left-alone senior citizens, who have no choice but to leave alone since their children work in remote places, the TV programs can enrich their daily routine life by providing some relaxing information or some knowledge about health care. For the adults who have to struggle with heavy work burdens, they will feel refreshed by turning on TV or radio and enjoy some entertainment shows. However, when it comes to students, the role of those programs becomes versatile, since on the one hand, students can acquire certain knowledge from some types of programs, say the discovery. On the other hand, since they are too young to distinguish right from wrong, they will be negatively influenced by some violent or pornographic information.
