  Do you agree that your friends are planning to take a pat_time job while attending the university? And explains why?

  范文:

  Well I think doing part-time jobs has the following advantages: first, it helps us to enlarge social circle, accumulate social experience and strike a balance between study and work, thus enhance our time management and mufti tasking skills; second, it helps us to become financially independent and be able to share financial burden of our parents. As for its disadvantages, I think safety concerns, and time or energy investment should be taken into consideration.

  There are two invitations.One is from a party with your friends and the other is that having a dinner part with your parents. Which one would you prefer and why?

  范文:

  Well, I would choose to dinner together with my family, if the two things meet at the same time. For me, family gathering is always the most important occasion on earth. I have been busy working all the time in weekdays, so during the weekend, a nice dinner with family is what I desire the most, when we exchange information and greetings, share good food and enjoy the quality family time. Although friends are of great importance to me as well, I can explain the situation to them, plus, we have plenty of other chances to party together; I think they will definitely show their support and understanding.

  The university is planning to encourage students to drive on campus because in this way they can go to the town anytime if they want and there is an area available to build a parking lot.The student in the listening holds a negative attitude towards this idea For one thing, he points out the public transportation in the school is convenient enough to meet student s need. To be more specific, students can take the bus to come and leave the school at the time they need and it’s really cheap for them. For another the area is supposed to be used to build a music museum which is more important for students since the museum could attract more students to be interested in music. Considering the reasons stated above the student doesn’t agree with this idea.

  例子:教授提到了之前自已在汽车销售的公司,有一款 top sale的车。但是公司还是生产了另一个性能差不多只是 style有区别的车。这样做,可能会減少原有产品的利润,但是消费者还是会买 top sale的车,同时对抗竞争对手。

  Sometimes there will be a new product which is similar to its former generation to be produced to win the competitor but may decrease the sale of the former. The professor takes his own experience as an example to illustrate the concept. He once worked in a car sales company. They have already had a successful top sale car in there and then the company produced another type which has almost the same function such as the engine, the material quality. Only a little bit different from the style parts like the electronic windows and stereos. Later on, the profit of the first generation obviously decrease even most of the customers still chose to buy the former one. But in this way, the company won their competitors in the market by selling more cars.

  The woman’s problem is something wrong with her printer so that she felt really inconvenient. She faces two possible solution, the one is to buy a new printer and split the bill with her roommate who is also need to use the printer, but it is unnecessary to buy a new one cause this is the last semester of her university. Also she could go to the computer lab to print for flee but she has to go out even sometime she has to print something immediately. If I were the woman I will choose the latter one because for one thing, to buy a new printer at the end of my last days in university is not a good idea and printing for free sounds better.Moreover, just make a plan of what I need to print and go there in advance is not a big deal.

  要点:以waterlily为例,说出两个适应性.

  1:root的适应性。随着降水不同, water level会随之变化。干旱和湿温的条件,根部必须适应。

  2: leaf的适应性。陆生植物的 pore都是在根部,而这种植物的 pore 是 at the top of the leaves.

  The professor talks about two types of adaptations of plants and he takes water lily as an example. The first type is the adaption of root. The water level of the lake changes accordingly with the different amount of rainfall. To be more specific. The level will increase when the season is humid while the water level decreases when the drought season comes.So the root of waterlily has to adapt it to survive. The other type is the adaption of leaves. As we know that the pores of the terrestrial plant always on their roots which can help them to breathe. But different from them,the plants in water such as waterlily's pores are at the top of its leaves which allow them to breathe even the water level changes.
