塞基诺州立大学位于美丽三城地区（Midland，Bay City，Saginaw），是密歇根州15所州立学校中最年轻的一所。
塞基诺州立大学开设有80多种不同的专业，以较强的商科，护理和教育专业而著称。SVSU的学费是密歇根州公立大学里最便宜的，校园布局很时尚，70%的校园在最近15年内都重新建造了一遍。小班授课，平均每个班级25个学生。
SVSU的商学院和管理学院被AACSB认可，所以如果在这两个学院毕业，对毕业后找工作有很大优势。这所学校的老师都是主动要求来任教，对教学和学生都很有责任心和兴趣。本科生也和硕士一样，有非常多做科研和实习的机会，范围相当的广。SVSU没有助教去教课，大部分授课人员都是博士，还有一些来自其他国家的教师，把他们的异域特色带入课堂。
SVSU的住宿设施被评为全州最棒的。教课设施，学校里人均电脑数量是国家平均水平的2倍，而且国际学生可以参加国际学生俱乐部参加各种活动。
住宿及接机服务：
申请校内住宿需要提交住宿申请表，不需要支付住宿押金，到校时要求携带体检表。
学校可以在MBS机场免费接机，机场距离学校大约10分种的车程，学生可以先到底特律（Detroit）机场转机再到达MBS。
