科罗拉多洛基山高中成立于1953年，是一所独立的走读寄宿制学校，也是美国著名的寄宿学校之一。学校以培养学生卓越的学术成就、健全的体制和创新精神为宗旨，做到以学生为中心，而非传统的以学校为中心，学校坚守美国著名哲学家杜威的信念：即教育不是为生活作准备，教育即生活。学校强调全面系统的教学，除高水平的大学预科课程外，同时还提供艺术、体育和社区服务等项目。学校鼓励各学科间相互交流，要求学生不仅要学好扎实的专业学术知识，还要做个有爱心，关注世界，热爱社会的良好公民。学校的核心价值观强调尊重、责任和优秀。学校师资力量雄厚，多数毕业生考取美国著名大学。学校位于科罗拉多州亚斯潘（Aspen）城市的一个富有历史韵味的大牧场。这是学生学习的同时，体验野外生活的好地方。在学校重视环保的号召下，学生成立小组共同参加如植物护理、物质回收、清洁燃料等课题的研究。附近成千英亩美丽的野外环境为学生的室外活动提供了很好的场地。
教学宗旨：
对于科罗拉多洛基山高中的学生们来说，受教育是一项全天候的追求。在科校，学生们可以建立和培养起人际关系，这将是他们人生中最值得珍惜的财富。科罗拉多洛基山高中是一所具有很强的内在凝聚力的集体，教员和学生之间相互尊重。学生们通过该校的学习，充分自信自己能够成为富有同情心和责任感的公民或领导。
学校住宿：
学校提供的6个宿舍旨在让所有寄宿学生能够感受到家的温馨。每两个人住一间宿舍，里面提供基本生活设施。每天晚上7点开始检查宿舍，并且开始打扫卫生。当学生能完成任务后，生活管理员就会允许他们在健身房“网上冲浪”或者玩游戏。“新宿舍”里总共能住下12个学生，每个人一间房，里面有电视，冰箱，DVD等设施。
课程设置：
基础课程：
英语：文学概论、西方文明、美国文学、高级英语等
历史：世界地理、世界历史、美国历史、欧洲历史等
外语：西班牙语、法语等
数学：代数、几何、微积分、统计学等
自然科学：生物、化学、物理、环境科学等
艺术：陶瓷书、绘画、油画、摄影、音乐、舞蹈等
AP课程：英语、历史、统计学、环境科学。
ESL课程：
包括，英语语法、英语写作、英语词汇、英语文章分析、历史等。
体育活动：
攀登高山滑雪、自由式越野滑雪、皮艇、山地自行车、北欧滑雪登山、攀岩、单板滑雪、足球、网球、独木舟。
毕业去向
Harvard University哈佛大学，Tufts University塔夫茨大学，Colorado college科罗拉多学院，Colorado科罗拉多大学，University of Chicago芝加哥大学， Yale University 耶鲁大学等。
