巴那堡中学
Barnard Castle School
巴那堡中学成立于1883年，是一所男女生混合的寄宿制学校。位于英国的东北部，著名的约克郡北部，附近有直达伦敦的达林顿火车站、纽卡斯尔机场。学校的风景秀丽，教学楼兼行政楼是一座维多利亚风格的建筑，经过改建后，学校的教室目前都是多功能的教室。
学校目前有57名老师，该校校长M D Featherstone先生于1997年上任，毕业于英国牛津大学。现有610名学生，其中高中生462名，学生与老师的比例达到了10：1。随着信息时代的来临，学校的设施也得到了不断的完善，改建电脑房，购置电脑设施，并且举办了计算机俱乐部，鼓励学生学习新技术。
学术成就
学校教学质量一流。在2002年的GCSE考试中超过86％的学生得到了C等以上的成绩，平均成绩为56.1分；而A level考试的通过率也超过了83％，平均成绩达到了32.1分。每年约有97%的巴那堡中学高中生进入大学深造学习。
课程设置
现在高中生主要的课程有：物理、化学、数学、生物、计算机、商业研究、历史、地理、艺术设计、音乐、英语文学、法语、德语等，学生可以根据自己的兴趣进行选择。国际学生还可以上特别开设的EFL英语课程。
另外，体育类课程开设了板球，壁球，网球，越野，全能等必修课程。爱好体育的同学还能从足球，高尔夫，羽毛球等课程中选修。而50%以上的该校学生懂得弹奏一种乐器，在校内有合唱团，爵士乐队，唱诗班等，学生可以选择参加．
住宿条件
学校共有四幢宿舍楼，寄宿条件一流。40%的学生有单间居住，50%的学生两人合住，10%的学生住在多人间，学校有校医，学生餐厅，学生可以允许自己烹调食物。在舍监的同意下，可以到附近的城镇上游玩。
费用
高中生每年的学费和生活费为19000英镑。
