2001 年，昆士兰州政府创办了澳大利亚航空学院，建立至今学校的合作对象涵盖了公司、政府机构、军队和行业监管机构在内的150 多家机构、并为30，000 多名来自全球各地的学生提供一流的航空专业培训。
作为南半球最大的航空专业院校，学院的专业和课程在全球范围内得到了广泛认可，专业设置包括飞机维修、空中乘务、航空与机场管理培训、航空专业英语、培训与评估认证等专业。

全球认可的资格证
澳大利亚航空学院的飞机维修工程专业课程获得了欧洲航空安全局（EASA） 和澳大利亚航空安全局（CASA） 的认证和授权。作为EASA 在欧洲以外授权提供EASA-147 部飞机维修工程课程的第一所机构，我院可以提供飞机维修工程（机械方向TB1 和电子方向TB2）课程。
EASA 还授权我学院进行EASA 理论模块考试的权利，即：已在澳大利亚航空学院通过此类考试的学生，在申请EASA 执照（飞机维修工程师）时就无需另行测试，从而大大缩减了取得EASA 证书的时间。
作为欧洲航空安全局（EASA）--147 认可的培训机构，澳大利亚航空学院的学生将在真机上学习到实用的技术。学院提供福克F28 客机，波音727 客机，派珀客机，比奇空中国王客机，贝尔直升机以及罗宾逊R44 等航空业中的主流机型做为实训设备设施。
就业前景
澳大利亚航空学院的毕业生，在毕业后积累两年以上的相关工作经验后，即可申请全球认可的EASA 飞机维修工程师执照。如今，随着亚欧间航班的增多，设备维修的需求必然会有爆发式增长，拥有此执照的学生将会获得更多的就业机会。如果毕业生将来希望从事航空管理相关工作，建议他们在获得大专文凭后继续攻读为此所设置的商科学士学位（飞机维修管理方向）。
申请条件
年龄：申请者需满18 周岁（17 周岁的学生需要监护人）
学历要求：获得正规院校高中或同等学历证书，相当于澳大利亚高中12 年级，需通过数学、物理或科学等学科的学习
英语要求：雅思总分5.5，单科不得低于5.5 分；或通过学院认可的语言课程
