地理位置及学校介绍：
学校所处的俄勒冈地区位于北美五大湖之一的伊利湖西畔，区内的购物、餐饮、休闲、娱乐环境都非常便利。学校附近就聚集着众多世界顶尖水准的艺术馆、动物园、交响乐团、芭蕾舞团、体育场等。该地区四通八达，交通便利。
学生使用的教材都是免费的，均由俄勒冈州教育委员会提供。除此之外，其他的学习材料也由学校提供，并可在学校官网www.katerischools.org上下载。
学校将为新入学的9年级学生提供学习指导，包括阅读技巧、课堂笔记、时间规划、演讲技巧、计算机、互联网知识等方面的辅导，为学生接下来的学习生活打下良好的基础。学校特别注重学生个人的个性发展，因此会鼓励学生根据自身特点选课，为每个学生量身定做课程表。选课前学校会慎重参考家长的意见，且选择的课程一旦确定，不鼓励任意更改、增减课程。
学校特色项目：STEMM
自2012年始，学校将为所有新生配置iPad，这是学校STEMM项目的第一步。
