概况
纽约州立大学古西堡分校被US News评为美国研究生升学率排名第二的文理学院，连续十二年被评为学生多元化排名第四的文理学院。学校正在申请国际精英商学院协会的认证，目前全世界只有607所商学院获此殊荣。学校还获得了美国国家教育学科质量鉴定协会以及美国化学学会的认可。古西堡分校致力于为学生提供全面的教育，将多元文化与学术和社会科学相结合。学校为学生将来的职业生涯发展和更进一步的学习打下了良好的基础。学校地理位置优越，距离纽约市东部只有35千米，意味着学生会有很多就业和实习的机会。
地理位置
纽约州立大学古西堡分校位于长岛纽约市东部22英里处。学校占地604英亩，校园风景秀美，位于那苏县郊区。学生步行即可到达校区内所有建筑。学校附近还有几处大型的机场例如JFK和LaGuardia。学生可乘坐公交去购物中心或火车站，也可乘坐火车去附近的大城市游览观光。校区治安很好，有自己的安保系统。学校的门禁时间为晚上十点，十点后任何车辆进入学校都要登记。 现有约1000名学生住在校内，大部分住在新的宿舍楼。学校还新建了一所教学楼，并在2012年投入使用。无线网络覆盖整个校区。
师资
纽约州立大学古西堡分校师资雄厚，拥有富布莱特学者、古根海姆学者以及研究奖项和国家津贴（来自国家综合医学科学研究所、美国教育部、美国国家科学基金会）获得者。 超过22%的教师都获得过纽约州立大学系统的最高荣誉――杰出教师奖、杰出服务奖、优质教学服务奖。86%的教师都有博士学位。
实习
古西堡分校地理位置优越，学校的教师在各自的行业领域里都有较好的人脉积累。小班授课使得老师可以了解每一个学生，并利用自己的人脉关系帮助学生找到好的工作。商学院和教育学院都会有老师专门帮助学生寻找实习机会。许多实习地点都在纽约市或者长岛。86%的学生一毕业就找到了工作。
