莫里斯学院
Morris College
莫里斯学院成立于1908年，位于南卡罗来纳州的萨姆特，是一所四年制私立文理且有着黑人教育传统的学院，当时为了培养信奉基督教的黑人青年而建立。现在，在创始机构的经营下，莫里斯学院向来自不同地区和文化的学生敞开大门。莫里斯学院致力于培养可以追求富有成就的职业生涯的高校毕业生，并且保证他们在发展自己的同时肩负起促进社会经济和文化发展的责任。莫里斯学院的使命正是由全国各地对社会做出贡献的数以千计该院毕业生的存在而成功地实施着。
莫里斯学院是用Reverend Frank Morris来命名的，因其对南卡罗来纳州的整个非洲裔美国人社区的特殊优秀贡献。该校的第一任校长是Dr. Edward M. Brawley，在1908-1912年间任命，莫里斯学院在Dr. John Jacob Stark的管理下于1915年获得第一个本科学士学位的。
莫里斯学院设有综合研究学院、经济管理学院、教育学院、宗教人文学院、自然科学院和社科学院。莫里斯学院还设有众多本科专业，比如基督教育、刑事司法、英语、历史、畜牧、社会学、生物学、工商管理、数学、幼儿教育、小学教育、健康科学、政治学等。
