汉密尔顿亚历山大学院成立于1871年，位于墨尔本的西南郊区，最初是一所教会背景的私立男子学校，1962年发展成一所男女混合的学校。学校非常注重对学生的全面培养，历来以学术出众、成绩优良而闻名。
汉密尔顿亚历山大学院位于澳洲維多利亞省西面，距离墨尔本约三个小时。学校提供的課程融合了传统学术、先进教学法及尖端科技。学校有具启发性及挑战性的課外活动。学生可參加校內及校外的体育活动及比賽，更可参与不同种类的戶外教育营。本校對音乐活动亦十分重視，並可为学生安排个別学习各类乐器。论辩、演讲及戏剧亦是课外活动重要的一环。海外学生会学习英语为第二语言，并会得到功課及考試的特別辅助。
汉密尔顿亚历山大学院是一些专门学科的认可训练中心，包括酒店管理、咨询科技及骑术。学生亦可透过选修航天科学，学习驾驶飞机。学校更为就读第九年級的学生提供一個宝贵的学习经验，包括往中国的联系学校交流一个月，当中可游历中国各地。
教学成果：
汉密尔顿亚历山大学院历届学生的会考成绩处于维多利亚省最优秀的中学之列。2006年，100%的毕业生获得高中毕业文凭，98%的学生被第一志愿的大学录取。
