贝森山中学由快乐谷中学（成立于1946年）发展而来，1971年改名为贝森山。位于加利福尼亚州，是一所重在培养创造力的寄宿学校。学校希望学生透过学术、音乐、艺术、体育等领域来探索自我，发掘自身潜力。学校提供了一个安全和亲密的社区，给予学生自由表达的空间。学校课程包括文化课、音乐、电影艺术、戏剧、摄影等。户外教育，社区服务和体育课程也是课程设置的重要组成部分。
校园占地500英亩，坐落在南加州欧佳谷的东面。校园视野开阔，俯瞰整个山谷。学校每年录取约100名新生，其中20%为国际学生。学校倾向于招收具有中等以上水平并能承担学习责任的学生。
贝森山中学提供严谨的大学预备课程，其最大的特色就是在高中课程中引进了开发右脑的活动内容。学校相信作为未来的领袖，学生们不仅需要对左脑的逻辑训练，也需要对其创造性、移情能力和美学素质的训练和培养。研究表明美国当今增长最快的工作机会是那些需要高情商和人际交往能力的工作。而贝森山中学的独特教学就能很好培养这样的人才。
学术和体育设施
2个科学实验室，14间课室，图书馆，ESL语言学习中心，全美知名的Zalk剧院，视觉和艺术大楼，2个观象台，摄影暗房，足球场，棒球场，网球场，负重训练室，篮球场和排球场。
学生宿舍
贝森山中学的学生宿舍有着现代化的结构。2名学生共享一个房间。每个房间内有网络、2张床、2张书桌和一个共用的大衣橱。宿舍距离其他校内建筑和设施均步行可达。
