邓恩中学位于加州Santa Barbara东北30公里的美丽的Sanda Yaez Valley。作为一所培养学生的学识、领导力、团队精神为目标的预科学校，学校致力于培养学生的学习能力和发展其潜力，建立自信心，和塑造性格，使其能够在以后的大学，乃至走上社会后，做事游刃有余。学校的教育哲学和师生关系是教育核心。
地理位置：
学校占地65英亩，位于市郊，学校有4栋宿舍楼，25栋教学用楼，包含各种学科的40间教室，4个体育运动场地。学校的每个指导老师，最多负责六个学生，每周都会约见被指导的学生。学校课程包括AP课程和荣誉课程，有独特的艺术、体育和室外教育项目促使学生个性和社会化的发展。从9年级开始，学校就对于就读大学的问题开设专门咨询服务，无论是高年级还是低年级的学生，在学校都能得到个性化的关注。DUNN是被Association for Experiential Education指定的七个私立独立的学校之一。
基础课程：
必修课有数学、英文、物理、化学、历史等，选修课非常丰富，电讯、交通、工业、农业、水利、建筑、驾驶、商业、时装、食品、环境、经济、法律、文秘、外语、家政、航运、维修等领域，凡是学生感兴趣或有择业需要的内容，都有相应的课程可供选择。
AP课程：
英语、历史/社会科学、化学、生物、环境科学、物理、解剖生理学、数学、西班牙语、法语、美术和表演艺术、影视艺术、摄影术、制陶术等。
体育运动：
秋季：（男）足球、越野、戏剧、农场、竞走和健美；（女）篮球、足球、爬山、皮船、跳舞、社团服务；
冬季：（男）篮球、足球、爬山、皮船、跳舞、社团服务；（女）篮球、足球、爬山、皮船、跳舞、社团服务；
春季：（男）篮球、长曲棍球、排球、高尔夫球、田径、游泳、网球、戏剧、农场；（女）长曲棍球、游泳、田径、戏剧、农场。
