瓦尔帕莱索大学位于美国的印第安纳州，是一所四年制的综合性私立大学。距离美国第三大城市芝加哥（Chicago）市中心不到1小时车程，所在位置为著名的大学城。该校成立于1859年，拥有150多年悠久历史，底蕴丰厚，在美国中西部大学中排名第三，是一所因其优秀的教学质量而获得国家认证的高等教育机构。学学校的学生来自全美及全球40多个国家。瓦尔帕莱索大学提供本科及硕士学位。瓦尔帕莱索大学共有5个学院70多个专业领域，分别是文理学院〈Arts & Sciences〉、工商管理学院〈Business Administration〉、工程学院〈Engineering〉、护理学院〈Nursing〉与基督教学院〈Christ College〉。《U.S. News & World Report》指出，该校在美国中西部是攻读硕士学位的顶级学校之一。
校园介绍
学校位于芝加哥市中心东南部54英里的southeasternmost郊区（著名大学城）。该校北临密西根湖（美国最大的内陆湖）和印第安那沙丘国家湖岸，环境优美。校园占地130余公顷。学校有超过60个的特色建筑群和大量的学术资源中心。
学校老校区大学既是一个历史市的中心城区城。老校园中最大的建筑（法学院楼）在1976被列入美国国家史迹名录。由于年代久远，学校在2009年开始了对其的恢复工程。学校中的古建筑还包括马丁・路德・金文化中心，德国Kade-Duesenberg文化中心。老校区还有著名的气象观测中心，有著名的维柏源多普勒天气雷达。在老校园北区的护理学院楼中还有SIMMAN机器人用于医治病人，用以培养学生实际动手能力。
声誉
美国新闻和世界报称赞该校为美国中西部最好的大学。学校工程学院在全美一直名列前20。学校超过百分之九十五的毕业生在3个月内能找到对口的满意工作。学校有超过百分之九十的学生接受到了逾五千二百万美元的金融援助规模。
